Education Week 2020

Learning together

Education Week is an annual state-wide celebration of NSW public education, which runs from Monday 3 August to Friday 7 August 2020. This year, the them is Learning Together.

At Asquith Girls High School, we are celebrating the many ways that we learn together through a number of virtual initiatives.

On Monday 3 August, parents and caregivers have the opportunity to learn together about growth mindset through a virtual workshop titled "Parenting for a growth mindset", delivered by James Anderson. The workshop will take place via Zoom on Monday 3 August, from 6:30pm-7:30pm. The workshop is free and available to all Asquith Girls High School parents/caregivers and students. You can find out more about James Anderson at his website: https://mindfulbydesign.com/

On Tuesday 4 August, the nominees for our School Captain and Vice Captain positions present their speeches to the student body from 9.45am. In a unique opportunity for the school community, these speeches will be livestreamed using Adobe Connect.

For the details of the link to the parent workshop and the captains speeches, please email the school on asquithgir-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au

To add to these two valuable livestream events, teachers and students from across all faculties and year groups will be showing a range of live virtual lessons and videos on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/asquithgirls
