Asquith Girls High School has the pleasure of inviting your child to participate in our exciting High School Experience Day to be held at the school on Thursday 18 February 2021.

This day will enable Year 6 students to participate in a number of inspiring and innovative activities, and experience the range of diverse and positive opportunities offered at Asquith Girls High School.

Students will be fully supervised by Asquith Girls HS teaching staff throughout the day.

Students will be provided with lunch on this day which will include some gluten free and dairy free options, although students with food allergies or special dietary requirements should bring their own food. Students should also bring their own food for morning tea plus a water bottle, as there will not be an opportunity to use the school canteen.

Parents/caregivers will need to make their own transport arrangements for their child to and from Asquith Girls High School. Year 6 students should arrive at the Baldwin Ave gates to AGHS at 9.00am and can be picked up from the Baldwin Ave gates at 2.30pm.

Due to COVID guidelines, parents must complete the QR code check-in if they accompany their child onto the school grounds.

Please Note:

● Students are to wear their school sports uniform on the day as they may be involved in sports activities.

● Footwear needs to be fully enclosed lace up sports shoes. Slip-on canvas shoes are not acceptable in practical subjects for safety reasons.

Additional extension opportunity:

Asquith Girls High School is a leader in girls’ education, providing opportunities for students to develop their knowledge, passion and skill in a diverse range of fields, including programs in Academic Enrichment, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Sport, Creative Arts, Leadership and Social Justice.

At the High School Experience Day, as a snapshot of these opportunities, we would like to provide an immersive experience for those students who are passionate about Creative Arts. We are offering special extension activities involving the Band, Dance and Drama for students who have previous experience.

This is an optional activity and there is no obligation to take part in this aspect of the program.

Due to time constraints, students can only choose ONE of these extension sessions.

Please be aware that spaces are limited in these extension activities and places will be allocated to students based on the order of submission of their application.

Please indicate on the online application form if you would like your daughter/ward to be considered for one of these activities.
