Senior Drama Company, Senior Drama Ensembles, Intermediate Drama Ensemble

To students in Years 9 and up, we offer our Senior Drama Program. These groups are audition only and are designed to challenge our students in vertical, mixed-year groupings. They are an opportunity for students to train and upskill, as well as perform at the elite and representative level in festivals, Drama Nights and Musicals, among many other opportunities throughout the school year. These rehearsals run before or after school.

Drama Night

Currently, Asquith Girls High School hosts a Drama Night biennially to celebrate the work of all our curricular classes and extracurricular Drama ensembles and companies.

Drama Night gives valuable performance opportunities to students who elect Drama as a subject, and to those who have successfully auditioned to be involved in an ensemble or company. Drama Night is a growing showcase and displays the talents and success of Drama at AGHS. We are very fortunate to offer a professional theatre space for our dramatic artists to shine on stage!

Junior Drama Ensemble

For students in Year 8, we offer our Junior Drama Program. These groups are audition only and are designed to train our students in theatre and performance. They are an opportunity for students to begin their journeys in Drama and perform in Drama Nights and Musicals. These rehearsals run before or after school.

Drama Club

For students in Year 7, we offer our one semester 'taster' Drama course as part of the curriculum, however, Year 7 students are also invited to participate in our weekly Drama Club run by our Drama Captains. This group does not require audition or sign up, and students can attend casually or consistently. It is an opportunity to make friends, learn Drama games and have a laugh! Drama Club runs weekly at a lunchtime.

Original Musical Production 

Currently, we run a biennial original Musical Production for our students involved in Drama, Dance and the extracurricular Music Program. We write an original Musical to cater to our extensive cast and to showcase the talents of our students! 

Interested students can audition for lead roles, or find a place in any of our extracurricular or curricular classes. We have traditionally performed our Musical at the world-class Chatswood Concourse Theatre.
